The first time I visited this garden centre, I called their restaurant first and spoke to someone called Leanne. She was super-friendly and helpful and I remember thinking that if their food is half as good as their customer service, I'll be very happy! Turns out, the food was great too! Had a jacket potato and the most amazing lemon-meringue cheesecake, that I'm still working off in my exercise class. The restaurant was very busy - which I guess is a good sign - and they seated me in the potting shed area (a separate room from the main restaurant). A couple of points that I didn't think were so great: 1. They don't accept cash in the restaurant (not sure about purchases in the garden centre). While most people pay by card these days, I don't feel it's a good policy to not accept cash. 2. They don't offer refunds on goods purchased in the garden centre. I don't think I've come across any business in the UK that doesn't offer refunds - so that was rather surprising. It actually put me off buying an item that I wasn't sure about. As far as the restaurant goes, I'll definitely be back for more of their fine grub!

For the 2nd time in couple of months we've have been for a 'garden afternoon tea'. The 1st we had was perfect, small sandwiches and perfect cakes. And a fair price. . 2nd time (13/12/23) sandwich full size (too big for afternoon tea) cakes werent as perfect as last time. And the price has increased. So sadly we aren't able to give you 5stars this time

Lovely garden centre with some great gifts and a good selection of plants. Cafe inside with an outdoor area which is dog friendly. Menu is good and food very well made and presented nicely. Great cake selection with a speciality scone every day. Fantastic Christmas display and shopping area which opens around October. Pet area has a great selection of snacks for dogs and great toys and harnesses and coats. I am deducting one star for them as they recently have stopped cash transactions so you have to use a card when shopping here even for very small items.

Absolutely disgusted by the way that I was treated in the cafe today. No one deserves to be spoken tolike you are an imbecile. Apparently asking for a cup of tea in this place requires customers to know the opening times of the cafe even the main store is open to the public. No clear signage nothing helpful to tell you, just a rude and nasty attendant on the till expecting you to know this.
